PS4 System Software Update 12.52 Out Now, And Targets ‘Security Fixes’

Sony Interactive Entertainment is still keeping the PS4 chugging along the tracks with a new update for the console, although it’s probably exactly what you’d expect by this point. PS4 system software update 12.52 is now available to download, but at this point in the console’s lifecycle, there’s no new features to speak of for the system.

The full PS4 firmware 12.52 patch notes are as follows:

The PS4 was released back in November 2013 in the US and EU and these days is a cheap option for people looking to jump into gaming for the first time, and has thousands of great games to back it up. You don’t necessarily need to actually play them on a PS4 though, as the PS5 is backwards compatible with a huge amount of PS4 titles.
