Rumours of an Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake have gathered pace again over the weekend, after Matt Ryan, the voice actor behind Edward Kenway from the 2013 swashbuckling adventure game, appears to have hinted that a remake of the title is indeed on the way.
Speaking during a signature signing, Ryan was asked by a fan if he had completed Black Flag, prompting the actor to respond, “You might have to beat it [Assassin’s Creed Black Flag] again.” The fan who was getting Ryan’s signature added, “I have to beat them all again,” with Ryan adding, “Especially this one. There’s a reason I say that, but I can’t say anything.”

A report on Insider-Gaming from earlier this year has suggested that the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake could arrive in early 2026.
